Local business and campus leaders will rally to protect one of America’s great outdoor icons. The Grand Canyon draws over 5 million visitors each year for hiking, paddling, and more; but the area around the park is threatened by toxic uranium mining. Local leaders are joining a national movement calling for a new national monument to protect 1.7 million acres around the Grand Canyon.
